Weremones is fantastic.
I love this author. This werewolf story has tender
moments, funny moments and also presents a serious side. I can't wait until her

Not what I expected - IT WAS
MUCH BETTER!!!,
I just love it when I start reading a book and
realize, "WOW, this one is a keeper!" (and if you read much, you
unfortunately KNOW this doesn't happen very often.) One reviewer called this a
family love story and its true. This one is about friendship, loyalty, a hard
working, loving MOM and a new alpha, wolven DAD. Yes, there is some sex and
violence but its not the focus of the story. Hope to see future books about the
Pack

Life is just not going the way that Adam Weis has
always believed it should be. Until not long ago he was the Beta (second in
command) under the Alpha in his Pack. Now he is the Pater Canis of his own Pack
- a pack that consists mostly of adolescent and teenage boys. Adam's days now
consist of running his construction company for a profit, seeing to all the
boys needs and answering his phone calls from their teachers. If that isn't
enough, it appears that the boys have picked who they want his mate to be.
Diana Ridley is the single mother of two teens trying to keep everything
together. Stress from work and the normal problems of rising teens and dealing
with her not so helpful ex-husband should have been more than enough. However
it appears that Diana has become popular with weres and not in a pleasant way.
One night she is rescued by a pack of several small and one large wolfs.
Adam is amazed when his pack brings him a wounded Diana after saving her from a
pack of werecoyotes. When he is told she is psychic Adam knows why they were
after Diana. This first night is just the beginning of a roundabout romance
that goes just the way of Adam's life lately - not the way he always thought it
should be. Diana soon discovers that there is much more going on in her town
then she ever thought and that her teenage daughter is right in the middle of
it along with the boys of Adam's pack.
Weremones deals not only with a romance in which both parties are not really
sure they want one but also the ins and outs of raising teenagers with extras.
Adam is barely figuring out how to deal with his new life and pack when he
meets Diana. Diana is still very bitter from a bad divorce and has put the
raising of her kids as primary in her life. The fates appear to be not paying
attention to either of their wishes. I loved reading and watching Adam and
Diana circle around their attraction. However it was when they were dealing
with the antics and results of the teens that I was alternately laughing and
feeling sorry for Adam and Diana. The humor that runs along the entire story
adds to all the characters and the plot. I am now going to be watching and
hoping that the other characters in this book will get their own stories.
Weremones is a story not to be missed for any paranormal lovers.

A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW
Coyotes are hunting Diana Ridley, an empath, when she is saved by
wolves that lead her to their alpha leader, Adam Weis. There, Diana sees the
wolves change into humans.
Adam runs a construction company by day. When he meets Diana, he
finds her psychic abilities irresistible and knows she would bring strength to
his young, vulnerable pack. Partly because it's time for him to mate and partly
because he's desperately in need of a mother figure to help with his troubled
brood, he pursues Diana.
What he doesn't count on is her steadfast resistance to his
advances. Diana, a busy woman who has been burned by a nasty divorce, isn't
anxious to try again.
A battle with werecoyotes over a tract of land Adam recently
bought and is developing is brewing and Adam feels the need to protect Diana
and her children. With Adam the wolven in her home, Diana's heart goes out to
the boys and she is pulled into the world of super-naturals.
Tensions rise and danger lurks as the fight over the land and past
grievances intensifies.
When Adam leaves her home intending to physically rid his property
of the werecoyotes, Diana realizes how strong her ties to him and the pack are.
After returning, Adam professes his love and Diana finds the
strength to give love a second chance.
Weremones is the first in a paranormal/werewolf series by Buffi
BeCraft Woodall. The conflict is established early on and doesn't let up as the
battle between the wolven and werecoyotes builds.
The plot is a busy and interesting though the book reads like it
is the second in the series rather than the first. Throughout the book, Ms.
BeCraft Woodall does a good job explaining the super-natural aspects of the
characters while moving the plot forward.

I really enjoyed this book so much that I re-read it
immediately. All the characters were enjoyable and the main characters were
believable. Plus Adam was HOT! I had this book in my wish list for the longest
time and by chance I went to the publishers website and they had the first
chapter of all their books listed so you could read them.
Believe me when I say that the lovemaking scene were not X-rated but just a
teeny bit hot, for I have read much more graphic scenes in some of the
mainstream romance books.
BUY this book - you will not be disappointed for it is extremely well written
and the first page hooks you. ;)

I was just browsing for something else to read and came across
this book. Bought it but was not really expecting it to be very entertaining.
There are annoying clerical errors which should have been corrected by the
editor but it seems that the editor was not very particular either. However,
clerical errors and all, BBW can spin a tale which draws the reader right along
for the ride. I have to say this book was surprisingly good. So much so that I
went looking for further books by this author. She haven't published much
(yet). I stumbled on the NCP website and made the mistake of buying from them.
Takes more than two months for delivery! I should have downloaded.
This book is that good that a reader can forgive a lot of things and continue
looking forward to further offerings from this author.

SILLY TITLE- EXCELLENT STORY
NO SPOILERS or plot summaries. Recommendations
included.
HIGH LEVEL: Book 1 in a paranormal romance series "Blue-Collar
Werewolves." I have absolutely NO IDEA what that silly title is all about.
It's unfortunate because it somehow detracts from the book. I nearly didn't
even bother to look at it. I would have missed a lot! This is a GREAT book.
While sticking to relatively standard werewolf mythology, it gives a refreshing
spin on this age-old story by making our couple just a little bit older and
more mature. Their hearts still flutter and their antics are still as absurdly
amusing as any couple, but it's a nice change. This love affair takes place
over shopping carts of food for their teenage children and tension zipping
between them in a room full of young trouble makers. And it's all the more fun
for it.
PLOT: Familiar tale, but told with a different perspective. Pacing was a little
choppy, but it felt more realistic that way. Most of the story takes place
between character interactions, so it gets a little crowded, but was very
rewarding. Rich world building took place- there are lots of other kinds of
shifters and magic wielders in this world, with interesting, often volatile
relationships.
CHARACTERS: Brilliant. Refreshing. Endearing. Hilarious. Our central couple was
quirky and charming and made that much more interesting as we watched them cope
with their teenage charges. An alpha werewolf going to a parent-teacher
conference??? An empath having lunch with her ex-husband's ex-wife and her new
girlfriend??? Seriously, this was a lot of fun to follow along with. The
supporting characters all had distinct personalities and promise to make this a
lasting source of fun.
SEXUAL CONTENT: Heavy on the lust, lighter on the erotica. Mostly tension. I
think there was one hot scene stolen between children and maybe another one or
two in strategic places. Despite its sparse eroticism, it managed to keep the
sexual tension pretty high throughout.
BOTTOM LINE: This is definitely one of the better, more innovative werewolf
centric romances out there. I highly recommend enjoying it for yourself.

Where
“Weremones” began the story of Diane and Adam “PMSing” continues the story of
the pack, Diane’s daughter Karen is all grown up and on her way home. She
happens to be running from danger. The psychic community she has been living in
has sent someone to kill because of her Wolven bond. As much as she needs the
safety of the pack and the comfort of Packhome she is not ready to face her
ex-fiancé and his mate.
She has
been away from her mom and stepfather for ten years to avoid being in the pack
with her ex. He wanted a commitment she was not ready to give and he moved on
she was still not sure she was over it, she was definitely still not ready to
commit but did not understand why. Maybe it was because she really did not
trust men, her father, and brother had also abandoned her and she was afraid
she would love and get hurt again.
The story
is a great sequel without overdoing the information from the previous book. I
am sure it would stand alone as a good book, however it builds so nicely on the
foundation of the pack dynamics in the first book that the best plan would be
to read them in order. It is a tender love story fought with self-doubt by
parties. Everyone else seems to see right through their attraction to each
other.
There is
enough mystery, and drama for everyone, as well as some passionate wolven
mating. The story compels the reader to stay to the end to see what will happen
next in this chronicle of their lives. I hope to see more about this pack in
the future. There are still some member that have enough mystery around them
for new stories to develop.

A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW
Estranged wolven pack member, Karen Ridley is being stalked by,
Lawrence Dailey, an ex-lover who wants to kill her. When Brandon Weis, the twin
of her high-school boyfriend saves her, desire that has been lurking beneath
the surface for years, flares and the pair mates.
Though he is currently independent of the pack, Brandon has been
traumatized by his past and stigmatized as the former pack omega. When Karen
expresses her love for him, Brandon who been in love with Karen since first
meeting her, has a hard time believing it. And Karen who has a rather sorted
and unstable history of her own, doubts she is good enough for Brandon.
Wanting to destroy Lawrence and save Karen, Brandon delivers Karen
into the safety of the wolven pack and orders her to stay there. Karen doesn't
appreciate the house arrest nor does she like taking orders from Brandon.
Brandon and the other pack males set out to find Lawrence, but
Lawrence, clever and powerful, proves to be elusive. While the men are out, one
of the pack children disappears and the women are forced to look for him.
His trail leads to Lawrence. The women attempt to rescue the
youngster, but things don't go as planned.
PMSing is the second installment of a trilogy by Buffi
BeCraft-Woodall. Running about half the length of Weremones, the first book,
PMSing is less involved and has fewer sub-plots. It is more focused on the
romance and is more erotic.
Imaginative and fast moving, PMSing held my interest. Brandon, an
underdog, is always likable while Karen, defiant and flawed, is easy to relate
to.

Karen Ridley is a psychic and way over her head at the
moment. She has come home to get away from the psychic community that has
deemed her not psychic enough for them. However, home has it's own worries for
her - namely her ex-fiancé, his mate and his twin brother. Karen was close to
Brandon until misspoken words put a break in their friendship. Home is also the
pack house and Karen is currently in a breeding cycle - not a good time to be
around unmated males.
Brandon Weis has known ever since he first met Karen that she was his mate.
After fighting his way up from being the pack Omega, Brandon is still trying to
figure out exactly where he belongs in the pack now. It doesn't help that he is
at odds with his twin brother.
Brandon comes to Karen's rescue her first night back in town and that begins
the renewed sparks between them. Karen and Brandon quickly realize that someone
is trying to kill her and he really doesn't care who gets hurt on the way. Now
the entire pack is involved, but Brandon knows that to be the man and wolven he
needs to be he will have to keep his chosen mate safe. But how did you keep an
independent person safe from a psychic that has gone wacko?
PMSing is the second in the Blue-collar Worker Werewolves series and surrounds
two of my favorite characters in the first book. Brandon has always allowed
himself to be treated as the Omega until the Alpha forced him to stand up for
himself. Karen was a friend with both twins and thought she had lost them both
after her break up from Brandon's brother. However, that could not be the
furthest from the truth as Brandon is about to show her. Karen and Brandon have
to do more than just keep her safe from danger; they also have to find a way to
cement them back into the pack. PMSing has both serious and humorous threads
that go through it. I was once again caught up into this most unusual pack and
its members. I can't wait to see which of the pack members is next to discover
his mate. Although I do have a couple that I'm hoping it will be. I recommend
PMSing to any and all shifter fans, especially if you enjoy a bit of humor.
Note to Reader: I would recommend that you read the first novel in this series
(Weremones) prior to PMSing as it takes off a few years later from where the
first story ended.

A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW
Making Tracks, Buffi BeCraft-Woodall's final installment of a
werewolf trilogy, is likely the best of the series. Of the three it is the most
imaginative adding an angry dragon into the mix as well as taking us into the
world of fairies. It introduces a mutant puppy werewolf that the author
describes so well that I wanted to adopt him myself.
Like the other two books, Making Tracks has a basis in righting
past wrongs. This time Mark Weis, a boy (man now) who'd been adopted by the
pack, faces down his father who is as greedy as he is cruel.
Weaved through the story is the romance between Bailey Sparks, a
psychic, and Mark. Bailey is 10-years older, a bit overweight and insecure
while Mark is chiseled steel, dimwitted and goofy but likable.
Ms. BeCraft-Woodall does a good job of developing the characters
and moving the plot quickly. In this book it felt like she'd hit her stride.
With witty dialog and an intense plot there was rarely a dull moment.
Around 54,000 words, Making Tracks is shorter than the first book.
It may be hard to follow the subplots if the either the first or second books
aren't read first.
Note: The other books in the series are Weremones and PMSing.

A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW
A sorceress descended from both Merlin and King Arthur, Gennie
Pendragon, ignores her magical powers; powers she learned early in life could
be dangerous. Shunning the mystical world, Gennie spends her days working with
developmentally delayed adults.
That is until her Uncle Merle, a wizard and protector of the
Excalibur sword, is attacked by Mordred, the powerful and angry son of King
Arthur. Mordred is bent on destroying Merle and stealing the Excalibur sword.
Gennie, unaware of the battle, is shocked when the most amazing
man she has ever beheld, appears at her work place. And darn it all, Gennie
just knows he’s trouble and that she must protect him.
Soon, Gennie realizes the man is the Excalibur sword come to life.
A warrior, he comes complete with a warrior's attitude and archaic views toward
women. He is also a man with limited time, since the magic that has created him
will also banish him to back to his natural state.
While Merle is nowhere to be found, Mordred is continues to hunt
for Excalibur.
As Gennie is forced to unleash her power and fight, she finally
finds true love. And Cal learns what it means to be a man, albeit a short-lived
one. Gennie and Cal mourn having to part, unless, of course, someone is
powerful enough to break the spell...
While Conjuring Cal was a bit of whimsical fun, it was, at times
hard to follow. Although, I think if you are a fan of the stories about Merlin
and King Arthur of Camelot, this would be a blast to read.
It is a creative piece of work.

Deny, Deny, Deny. Just because you are a father figure for a five
year old ghost does not mean that dreams are real. Ten Hughes chooses to hide
in his normal mechanic’s life even though his dreams are the only place where
the ass-kicking, alien demon, love of his life exists.
A ghost that is not exactly a ghost makes for an interesting
roommate. Five year old Denny has lived in Ten’s house since Ten was a boy
himself. What was Denny’s best friend is now his father, the only thing better
would be to have a mother, too. If pushing Ten into something he does not want
to do will get him that, what could it hurt?
After Ten is conned into taking a job as a medium to investigate a
haunted house, his dream and waking worlds are forced together. Now he’s
getting arrested for dimensional travel without a license, questioned about an
unexplained death of an innocent man, and forced to face the facts of his past.
I must admit that I’ve never read a story from the man’s point of
view that I really liked. This is the first one, and it really worked. Ten is a
great character who really captured me. His interactions with the ghosts make
it clear he is used to it, all the while hiding all of the rest of the weird
things he can do. I also love the haunted house and that numerous members of
the family stayed with it after they passed. I’m looking forward to the next
installment in this series.
